I found this crochet patern and thought it was a great idea, it ca be worn as a scarf

or if your ears get cold it can be used as a hood

More fingerles gloves

I was in a fingerless kick, so I decided to try and add some fingers, here is the result

They are pretty cool, I used them when on the computer and when crocheting…love them.

I have a friend that has magic hands, she is a massage therapist and she helps people heal…pretty good if you ask me. So I decided to make her a gift that she would appreciate and so would her hands. The fingerless gloves! They should protect her hands and wrist keeping them warm and at the same time leave her fingers free for texting… which she loves by the way and for her new iPhone. You can’t slide the iPhone or the touch with gloves on…here is a picture

Toddler Blanket

I made a blanket for a friend ‘s baby a while back see here. Well the baby is almost one year old and the blanket has been washed amost daily so she needs a replament. I decided to make it bigger, since she is a big girl now.

This one has lady bugs, I think both mom and baby girl are going to love it. It is made with flannel and fleece, it is cute and confy…

Tea wallet

I am a tea beginner. I actually don’t like teas much, is the leafy taste…I know … teas are leafs!!! But I found apple cinnamon tea…love it, and now I’ve discovered peppermint and ginger, no leafyness there. Since I only like three types so far, I like to carry some with me, which brings me to the tea wallet.

I looked at a lot of versions online and I came up with this silly little thing, hope you like it. I am able to store up to six packets and I also have sugar and honey… not so bad.

Outfits for school on a buget

Since money is a factor; I wanted to make my daughter some of her school outfits. This outfit cost me (with the pattern and materials) $19.00 The fabrics I used were baby silk and a beautiful satin (on sale at Joann’s.

have been reusing the pattern (which has a longer version of the pattern to make the top a dress) so, I made the top of this outfit with two different types of materials 100% cotton (the cost $4.00).

Made a nightgown for $1.00 Cotton and I free handed two skirts. $.50 each skirt (flannel).

Recession = innovation.

Since I’m not nearly a professional, I find that using the tutorials on YouTube a definite help, plus encouragement from family is a huge …

Believe it or not my daughter actually appreciated my efforts in making her clothes. She has worn two of the items and her little friends and the teachers thought that the outfits were nice.

Hey goes to show my daughter has blind faith in my abilities, her friends are good friends, and her teachers know how to lie.

1st there is a game that my kids LOVE. I must admit it is the best game for everyone to have a great time playing together it’s called Little Big Planet.

My kids love it so much that they asked me if I would make them one or a dozen of the main character, so here is the first one. I will post each one as they are made. It’s close enough for someone who wasn’t taught to Crotchet.

So I’ve seen better but for me and my kids it’s a Picasso.

For those of you who like to, and know how to crochet there a book called Creepy Cute and it teaches you how to make things like this. If anyone can tell me how to read those crotchet instructions I would appreciate it…

I am hooked on crocheting so I have been buying different size hooks, to get organized I looked for a crochet hook holder tutorial and I found this one, I picked tips from others but this one I liked the most. I made a white and black for a friend and a more colorful one for myself.

This is my second crochet project. I bought a crochet hat this winter and thought it looked easy enough, so I looked for a video in Youtube of course. Here is the result, I think it looks better on the bear than on me…hahaha
